Continuous monitoring supports the consistent care routine recommended by aquatic-care professionals: regular water testing, partial water changes, and attention to your aquarium’s condition. Chomper adds ongoing observations to that routine, helping you see what changes between checks and how your tank responds to maintenance. Your regular testing and hands-on care remain essential.
Chomper is a freshwater aquarium monitoring system in development, combining a sensor device with an app. It brings continuous readings, automated analysis, and livestock context together to help you understand what is happening in your aquarium.
Our development focus is water temperature, water level, water-quality trends including total dissolved solids (TDS), and light. Final sensor specifications and supported features will be shared at launch.
No. Continuous monitoring adds context between your usual checks. TDS does not identify individual substances, and it is not a substitute for tests such as ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, or pH. Keep your regular testing and maintenance routine.
We are focused on freshwater aquariums, including planted tanks and aquascapes. Saltwater and reef support is not currently announced.
